This session builds upon the January 2023 session titled
Building Multi-language Reports for Power BI in 2023. The session will move ahead to discuss advanced techniques required to support multiple locales for the same language (e.g.
fr-FR,
fr-BE,
fr-CH and
fr-CA). The session will also examine designing and implementing a data translations strategy in a Power BI data model using Field Parameters. Along the way, camper will also learn how to leverage the new dynamic format string feature as well as how to build paginated reports that support multiple languages.
What Campers Will Learn:
- How to support multiple locales for the same language (e.g. fr-FR, fr-BE, fr-CH and fr-CA)
- How to design and implement a Data Translation strategy using Field Parameters
- How to control numeric and date formatting using the new Dynamic Format Strings feature
- How to create paginated reports that support multiple languages
