The Power BI team recently added support to the Power BI Client APIs enabling developers to build custom applications with the same "Quick Create" experience used in familiar applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Dynamics 365. This session will explain how to create an embedded Quick Create session which allows the user to dynamically build a new dataset and report on the fly.
This session also examines the sample application named PowerBiQuickCreateDemo which demonstrates how to embed QuickCreate reports by programming with TypeScript and the Power BI JavaScript API. Along the way, campers will learn about a few handy developer tricks for managing the M code used to build queries during the QuickCreate provisioning process.
Session Prerequisites
Camper should have experience developing with Visual Studio and programming with C# and TypeScript.
